While real estate was largely ignored by pension schemes and many other institutional investors during the 1980s, this heterogeneous asset class began to attract institutional investors’ attention during the nineties and noughties with its double-digit returns and diversification characteristics.

However, with the UK commercial property market appearing to have reached an inflection point, this session considers the fundamentals and heterogeneous nature of the property market and where the next decade’s real estate opportunities may lie.
