Qualified Investors
Investors who by virtue of their experience or financial strength, are allowed to buy shares in private placings (rather than in public offerings) or funds which are not fully regulated for distribution to private individuals.
Qualitative Analysis
Analysis which concentrates on the qualitative characteristics of possible investments, including management capabilities, economic factors, strategic direction and so on.
Quantitative
A way of doing things that is based mostly on mathematical analysis.
Quartile
When you put in order a set of results, for example, from lowest to highest, and then divide that set into four equal parts, so that a quarter of the results falls into each part.
