Risk can mean different things to different people. This session looks at the key sources of investment risk, their measurement, minimisation and control. Included within the analysis will be an examination of the main risk models, risk budgeting and the contribution to risk of investment style. Although invariably there is some mathematical analysis, the session will not be heavily maths based.
Suggested entry requirements: prospective delegates should be relatively familiar with the basic risk-and-return characteristics of bonds and equities.
Benefits of attending this session: having attended this session you should have a better understanding of the many and various risks that investors face and what measures can be taken to minimise their adverse effects.
